  • Turnover in the corporate education sector consolidated its growth in 2025, underpinned by positive demand and the progressive development of supply. Turnover rose 5.6% in 2025, reaching €2.45 billion.

  • Despite the growth of some of the leading companies in recent years, partly thanks to the entry of investors, the sector still shows a high degree of fragmentation, with supply made up of a large number of small specialist consultancies and training companies alongside a smaller group of business schools and universities.

  • INFORMA's DBK Sectoral Observatory recently published these insights in the “Corporate Education” Special Report.

Madrid, 19 March 2026.- According to INFORMA's (Cesce's subsidiary) DBK Sectoral Observatory—a leading provider of business, financial, sectoral, and marketing information in Spain and Portugal—the corporate education market stood at €2.45 billion in 2025, up 5.6% year-over-year.

Business expansion was driven by higher corporate investment in training programmes, as well as the rollout of training initiatives funded with public money. In parallel, supply continued to develop, with investment in expanding programme portfolios and greater adaptation to labour market needs.

By operator type, specialist consultancies and training companies absorbed around 90% of the market, totalling some €2.215 billion in 2025, up 5.5%. Business schools and universities, meanwhile, posted turnover of €235 million, after growing 6.8%.

By delivery mode, face-to-face training remained the most important, accounting for over half of total turnover. Next came distance learning, with nearly 35% of the market, while blended learning represented around 13.5%.

In 2025, there were some 2,580 companies active in corporate education, dominated by small specialist consultancies and training companies, which accounted for around 95% of the total, versus business schools and universities (the remaining 5%). This latter group expanded its offering to corporate clients notably in recent years, attracted by the sector's growth potential.

In addition, investors entered the share capital of some operators, driving their growth. Nevertheless, the supply structure remained highly fragmented, with the top five operators accounting for just 6.2% of total market value in 2025; the top ten, 9.1%.
